Consistency is the Key with Blogging!

On Wednesday January 7, 2015 I received a very important phone call from Entrepreneur and Business Mentor Sophia Bailey, who lives in London, England. This call was significant because Sophia was actually "paying a depth" so to speak, for some help that I attempted to give her with a website that she was putting together back in 2013.

The hour and fifteen minutes that we spent on the phone breathed new life into my attempts to build a profitable blogging presence on the internet. She started by giving frank and laser focused insight into ways that I might enhance the physical presentations of my blogs. Next, she guided me in establishing clear goals for the next 12 months that I was to write down and revisit in incremental times during the day.

We had other discussions that focused more along the lines of personal Faith walks and as a Christian, I was able to assimilate many of the discussed concepts into my approach to internet marketing.

There are three Blogs that I actively operate on the net. There is a current event type blog, "JUST SAY'n" in which I present an off the cuff commentary on items in the news and politics.  There is also a weekly FB Diva Friday Chronicles blog that features articles from members of my FB Diva Friday Community, which itself, is an offshoot of the weekly FB Diva Friday photo shares that I do of celebrities and FB friends. And finally there is this blog, the NextLevel eMarketing Blog that has turned into an analysis of my online marketing efforts in support of the previously mentioned blogs, and I'm fine with that.

What is key, is that I have learned some very important foundational truths that I believe to be key to any success in a blogging enterprise.

1. Blogging is like sowing seeds. There isn't much acclaim to it, but it must be done consistently and without a whole lot of fanfare. You're building up leverage through the content, or quality content, that accrues over time, with each week's efforts.

2. Success breeds more success and people will take notice. As you consistently work your content preferences, you will build up traffic and that traffic will spread the word. It might not be an avalanche at first, but it will become something that people can depend upon to be quality, worthy of their time and therefore, worthy of sharing with others.

3. Blogging doesn't have to overwhelm people with technical matters. You present the material in an accessible way so that the message is comprehended and applicable to the task or procedure at hand.

4. Have respect to the time that your audience spends with you. There are many vehicles vying for their time so treat them with respect and give them your very best efforts. Remember that you are in a contract with your audience. They have agreed to meet with you and your part is to deliver a product that helps them secure their desired purpose for having accessed your materials.

5. Your service to your clients must include a union of both warmth and your very best entrepreneurial efforts. You want them to build off of the legacy of information that you provide and they should take that insight and expand on it for their purposes.  You're both a servant and mentor at the same time.

6.  You're the expert at what you're presenting. Others may have their acquired knowledge, but no one is going to present your story or your perspective of a topic better than you. Be confident in this and keep presenting the topics that you determine are important to your readers.

7. Give the readers your passion. That which you enjoy the most and it will be easy for you to come up with content because the content will beckon you.
